Felt is so easy to cut with standard scissors and while light enough to be easy to work with, it's also heavy enough to be able to use a hot glue on it.....making it a must have fabric for your craft basket! 

Below, we have added a 5min tutorial on how to do the Blanket Stitch (otherwise known as the Buttonhole Stitch).  This is a very useful stitch to learn as it's used extensively in felt appliqué.  Enjoy - and happy sewing!
